This morning I heard the familiar strings of Serge Gainsbourg's "Bonnie et Clyde" in a Cadilac commercial during NBC's Today show.
It wasn't the original and was probably the Luna/Laeitia of Stereolab version but not sure yet.

at least it's better than assuming all french music involves accordions, yes. -
